Together with Engie
How could we create a pathway to sufficiency?
To address climate change and promote sustainability, Engie seeks to transition its automotive value chain towards sufficiency, towards ‘making do with less’. Together, we raised awareness of a sufficient business for its partners and identified potential business opportunities, enabling Engie to progress on its circular journey.
Sustainable transformation
Engie recognized the urgency of sustainable practices, but the shift from a volume to a value-based business model presents a significant challenge for all value chain partners. How can we create the necessary support to accelerate this sustainable journey?
Navigating value-based models
We began by raising awareness among consumers and customers about sufficiency and exploring its potential implications for businesses. Utilizing the 5P model, we personalized the concept, translating its significance for Engie and its partners. Subsequently, we delved into what this would mean to the business models for Engie and its collaborators.
During intensive co-create sessions spanning several months, cross-functional teams from Engie and its partners collaborated to identify opportunities based on sufficient business models.
Driving sufficiency principles
Through these collaborative efforts, we heightened awareness of sufficiency business models throughout the supply chain and among end-users. Together with Engie and its partners, we identified potential business opportunities aligned with sufficiency principles. To validate the feasibility and impact of these opportunities, we proposed conducting a circular business experiment.
