Together with Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances

How to engage different category teams on sustainability?

After measuring its carbon footprint, Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances (GDCA) pinpointed key impact areas and secured leadership commitment. However, they needed a concrete action plan that linked business goals with sustainability objectives, creating a roadmap for short-, mid-, and long-term action. Their goal: co-create this plan with their teams to drive full engagement and ownership.

From measurement to Action

The challenge wasn’t just understanding the carbon footprint - it was figuring out how to translate the global priority domains into meaningful business strategies. GDCA needed to align sustainability goals with business objectives and define actionable steps to drive change across their product categories. And this, while ensuring these efforts contributed to both impact and profitability.

Innovating with purpose

To meet this challenge, we facilitated a 2.5-day Pathways to Impact workshop with GDCA’s three category teams. Together, we co-created ambitious 2030 impact goals and mapped out pathways to reach them. Through brainstorming sessions, we uncovered new value propositions, innovative business models, and opportunities for social impact, linking sustainability with new growth spaces for GDCA.

Concrete Actions for Short- and Long-Term Success

The workshop resulted in more than just plans—it created a clear, actionable roadmap. Each category team walked away with key initiatives ready for immediate implementation. Moreover, the GDCA team was aligned and energized, with a shared vision and commitment to integrating sustainability into their core business.

Energizing the Journey
With a roadmap in place and team engagement at an all-time high, GDCA is ready to advance its sustainability goals. The next step is executing the pathways defined in the workshop and exploring new business models that link impact with profitability, supporting ongoing success and growth.
