Driving Sustainable Innovation: Innoboost’s Sustainathon with DutchCham Singapore

On June 4th, 2024, Innoboost had the privilege of designing and facilitating a Sustainathon in collaboration with DutchCham Singapore. This groundbreaking event brought together over 80 professionals from various companies. It was great to see how you can challenge people to not only talk about sustainability but also act on it. 

We pre-selected five themes to work on, from energy solutions to biodiversity to socially inclusive solutions, and each team could choose its own “How might we…” question. 

The results were amazing. Teams developed innovative solutions to significant environmental challenges, including reducing food waste, designing green roof corridors to enhance urban biodiversity, and proposing financial models to support nature-based solutions. It was nice to see how teams with all kinds of different profiles worked so well together. 

It was quite a challenge to host that many people. We designed easy-to-use formats that participants could seamlessly fill in to ensure a smooth flow that encouraged collaboration and creativity. We tried to ensure the day was as productive as it was inspiring.

Innoboost’s approach to the Sustainathon demonstrated that effective facilitation is crucial to drive both creativity and concrete outcomes.
